Finding the Point of Connection

I like this photograph. I can see using it somewhere in a project— but not as a primary image. It just doesn't have the arresting quality of an image that grabs us and refuses to let go. This is "back story" or "context," but not the star. For one reason, all the animals seem to have no interest in us whatsoever — and therefore no relationship with us. We need a point of connection.

. . . like this guy. Eye contact. We are acknowledging one another. Just try to look at this photograph below without looking directly at the cow's face and eyes. Impossible. We are pulled in. In short, we have a relationship because of the direct eye contact.
