Finding the Sensation

There are supposed to be 1,600 temples here in Kyoto. I am sure that each is unique and worth photographing. I'll leave that to others. Instead, I'm trying to find what is common to all of them and see if I can photograph that. One thing that definitely is found in every temple are rooms (sometimes quite a number of them) that have artwork painted on the walls, calligraphy in the tokonoma, beautiful soft light filtered through shoji screens, and those wonderful tatami mat floors. There is something sensually magical about that light on a tatami mat.
